What does it take to be a Blizzard head coach? Well, it's takes more than just a knowledge of the game of basketball. Oh sure, Blizzard coaches know the game. But it's their ability to run productive, organized practices, and teach skills that's separates them from the rest. Coaches who like to simply roll out the ball and scrimmage non-stop each practice need not apply!
Each Blizzard practice is carefully planned and completely structured. Our emphasis isn't only on teaching offensive and defensive systems. We also teach fundamentals, working on each individual player's skills. We believe in keeping practices moving!
Unlike some AAU programs, we don't just throw "someone's dad" on the bench and call him a coach. Our coaches are chosen for their abilities and then are continuously evaluated by our directors.

George Milley, Blizzard 15U Elite Team Head Coach, Director of Coaching
Coach Milley's experience includes stints as:
• head coach of the 13U Elite Blizzard in 2006
• head coach of the 11A and 12A Blizzard teams in 2004 and '05
• head coach of the Peabody travel program's 7th and 8th grade "A" teams
• head coach of the Peabody travel program's 6th grade "A" team
• head coach of the St. Adelaide's CYO bantams
• head coach of the 6th and 7th grade Higgins boys teams
• head coach of the 10U Massachusetts Cyclones (AAU)
• Associate head coach of the 2002 New England Champion St. Adelaide's CYO bantams
Known for his innovative drills and teaching methods, Coach Milley was also a standout player for the Everett High basketball team in the late 1970s. |

Spice Montgomery, Blizzard 15U Elite Team Assistant Coach
Coach Montgomery, is currently head coach of the Gloucester 8th travel team. A former Division 1 college athlete, Coach Montgomery is in his third year with the Blizzard.

Craig Green, 14U National Team Head Coach
Coach Green's experience as a basketball coach includes stints as:

• Mass Cyclones (AAU) 10U Assistant Coach in 2003
• Head Coach of the St. Adelaide's CYO cadets 2003
• Head Coach of the St. Adelaide's CYO cadets 2002
• Assistant Coach of the 2002 New England Champion CYO Champion St. Adelaide's Bantams
• Head Coach at the 9-10-year-old level in the Peabody Basketball Association.

Bill Adams, 14U National Team Assistant Coach
Coach Adams was one of the state's top AAU basketball coaches during the 1990s, helping to lead several boys teams to events on the local, regional and national levels. Bill presently serves as Director of Athletics at Lynnfield High School. Back in the 1970s, after graduating from Holy Cross, Bill was an offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills of the NFL.

Kate Adams, 13U National Team Head Coach
The Blizzard is very pleased to welcome back Kate to her third year as a member of our staff. The former standout point guard for both Bishop Fenwick High and Regis College will lead our 12A team this spring.

Hank Flores, 12U National Team Head Coach
Hank is a passionate life-long basketball player and still plays twice a week. He has been actively involved with youth sports for the past 10 years as a basketball coach, soccer coach and board member.
